Are you wondering if dragging your old, or not wanted, clothing to a re-sale shop, is really worth the trip?
Two completely different shops I have come across are worth your while for completely different reasons.
With locations in Bethlehem, Kutztown, and Manayunk, The Attic buys, sells and trades modern and vintage clothing.
This store definitely has a following of a younger crowd, which dictates the type of clothing that they will except. However, they will give you CASH on the spot, or you could opt for a larger percent of your goods by accepting store credit.
I did not find any vintage clothing on my trip to the Bethlehem store, but I was told they have seen an occasional Marc Jacobs, Betsey Johnson, and Michael Kors come through the door. As well as Coach and Dooney handbags.
I did see quite a bit of Abercrombie, Aeropostale, Old Navy, Express, H&M, plus many Junior dresses.
As for shoes, I saw 2 pair of BCBGirls, and some other decent selections.
Depending on what you're looking for, this is worth the trip.
Also, they were nice enough to refer me to another re-sale store for a more mature customer called:
Also in Bethlehem, Chit Chat is a lovely boutique that is kept very neat and organized.
The clothing is in great shape, and I saw many well known designers in the clothing and accessories. This store is for young and more mature customers, but a more re-fined look.
Call ahead if you're bringing items to sell. The owner is very accommodating, and prices the items so that you should actually make some money yourself.
